Cardiff & Vale NHS Trust – Mrs C Cann & Dr P Williams. Have developed a diagnostic and advisory service to patients who have had an anaesthetic anaphylaxis event whilst undergoing a surgical procedure. The clinic identifies those patients who have had a life threatening anaphylaxis, and develops appropriate anaesthesia protocols should they require future surgery. They have successfully operated on a number of patients, which can lead to an improved quality of life for the patient.
